About

It takes courage to ask for help. Life seems to throw us one challenge after another and we can feel weighed down by the stress of daily living. Sometimes we can lose sight of what makes us feel special and valued. I am here to work with your individual needs. Feelings of anxiety, depression, anger and loneliness can leave us feeling disconnected from others. If we do not take the time to understand where these feelings stem from and how they affect us, we cannot begin to heal and feel whole again. I value you as an individual and want to understand your unique experiences. I use an integrated style of therapy with my clients to address their needs in the moment. The prominent theories I pull from are humanistic, cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based therapies. I have experience working with many different types of trauma and use EMDR based techniques with processing and healing work I engage in with clients. I also work with individuals who identify as LGBTQ and have years of experience working with Bipolar Disorder.

Professionally, I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington State, credential #LH60686283. I worked with individuals with developmental disabilities for eight years before beginning my career as a counselor. I have worked with individuals with severe mental illness for the past three years here in Washington. I graduated from Argosy University with my Masters in Mental Health Counseling and studied counseling psychology at Emmanuel College in Boston, MA. I recently became certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors as of December 19th, 2019, ID#792795. I have previous experience advocating to improve workplace conditions for mental health workers and currently advocate for continued mental health awareness in my community.
